Imbil is one of the largest towns in the Mary Valley and is the gateway to Borumba Dam.  Its picturesque main street perched on the banks of Yabba Creek provides visitors with beautiful parklands, a variety of shops and weekly markets.

With the endless list of things to do at the cabins you may not even leave the property during your stay however if you wish to venture out, the cabins are only:

  • 15 minutes to Kenilworth
  • 15 minutes to Borumba Dam (For fishing and skiing)
  • 50 minutes to Maroochydore
  • 25 minutes to Gympie
  • 30 minutes to Eumundi
  • 45 minutes to Noosa

Lakes & Recreation

LAKE BORUMBA DAM

Constructed in 1964, Borumba Dam (Lake Borumba) is one of Queensland’s most established lakes. Built across Yabba Creek (a tributary of the Mary River), about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) north of Imbil, the lake has a surface area of 500 hectares at an average depth of 6.6 metres. This is utilised primarily for irrigation purposes and flood mitigation.

LAKE MACDONALD

Lake Macdonald is a rural locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Lake Macdonald had a population of 1,363 people.
There are a number of facilities around the lake There is a boat ramp and pontoon at Mary River Cod Park in Collwood Road for access to the lake. There is another boat ramp at Lake MacDonald Park.
